As a young Beauty Therapy student at the age of 17, I always dreamed of owning my own salon. I trained at the Joyce Blok Institute of Beauty Therapy & Electrolysis in 1994 and was hired by the owners of the Institute to work in their franchise salons ‘More than Skin’ on my completion. As the very strong determined young woman I am, I absorbed all I could from client care, retail, beauty therapy skills and marketing from this well-known company. I had a short break with More Than Skin for a brief OE and worked just out of London before returning to More Than Skin. I’m a family girl and missed my home town so returned to Tauranga in 1998.
At the age of 21years I purchased my first salon, and renamed it Body Language. The salon had just 50 active clients on the database, quickly growing in popularity in just 3 months I was fully booked everyday requiring another staff member.
After a few years I was slightly disheartened by the standard of therapists applying for jobs and decided I needed to make a difference.

I completed a Certificate in Adult Teaching at the local Polytechnic and was approached while still in training for a full time tutoring position. I found managing both a business and a full time tutoring too much and sold my salon.

I decided in 2016 I needed another challenge, the salon was getting to full capacity and I was nearing the point of turning clients away, so my options were to expand the salon, or start my next chapter. With my baby heading to school February 2017 I could increase my salon hours, so why not double them? With this, my husband and I decided to open a second salon. I loved planning the salon set up so I began again, found an amazing location and went full steam ahead. Within 6 months of making my decision Immerse The Crossing opened Thursday 16th March 2017 and wow it looked fabulous!
Unfortunately after 5 years at that location the rent doubled and was only increasing more so it was time to make a hard decision to close the salon.

Internationally Qualified Beauty Therapist, Erin has been at Immerse for 11 years bringing over 25 years experience in the Beauty Industry. Erin Specialises in Advanced services such as IPL Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation treatments, Dermapen, LED and Dermaplaning and more! Skin and age prevention is her passion, she is extremely knowledgeable in our extensive range of products and services and will help you achieve results you are wanting. Erin’s exceptional work ethic and client focus makes clients feel comfortable and relaxed wanting to come back for more.

Rewa has been at Immerse since April 2018. Rewa brings with her a wealth of knowledge in skin, skin care and all skin treatments offered at Immerse. Rewa is always there to greet her clients with a beautiful smile, with a twinkle in her eye and can’t wait to help you with your skin concerns. Rewa is an advanced therapist specialising in IPL Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation treatments, Dermapen, LED and Dermaplaning and more!

Georgia welcomes her clients with a beautiful smile. Georgia loves getting to know her clients and does her utmost to make them feel just fabulous. Georgia enjoys all aspects of Beauty Therapy and looks forward to making you feel like a queen.

Many of our lovely clients would have seen or had the experience of a treatment with Michaela over the years. She has been at Immerse and now Lox over 5 years and works at both salons; Lox Holistic Beauty in Greerton Wednesday through to Saturday and Tuesdays at Immerse Bethlehem.
Michaela is qualified in all aspects of Beauty Therapy including electrolysis. One of the things Michaela enjoys about the beauty therapy industry is the great variety of services we provide. She absolutely loves to do a full range of treatments from brows and lashes to gel manicures, facials and more! Michaela has a very loyal clientele, her gentle nature and beautiful touch keeps her clients coming back.
